Introducing our first ever small batch pre-mix cocktail, The Kea Plum Rum Negroni.

Made in Cornwall in collaboration with two other fantastic English drink brands Knightor Vermouth and Victory Bitters.

This fruity and fresh take on the classic aperitif combines our Cornish Kea Plum Rum Liqueur, Cornish Knightor Rosso Vermouth, London Victory Bitters and hand foraged fig leaves.

Kea Plum Rum Negroni

Ideally keep the bottle nicely chilled, then just pour 100ml of Kea Plum Rum Negroni over ice in your favourite glass, add a slice of fresh orange and enjoy! Try a piece of the Ruby, Cherry and Fig chocolate bar alongside for that luxurious treat.

Tasting Notes

The fig leaves offer a note of coconut alongside deep jammy flavours from our Kea Plum Rum Liqueur, perfectly complemented by a lingering bitter marmalade finish and a hint of spiciness from Knightor Rosso Vermouth. Victory Bitters balances out the cocktail with an invigorating aroma of sour cherries, red berry and fresh garden herbs.

RUM SHRUB – AN OLD CORNISH TRADITION

In the 17th century, fruits were often mixed with rum to produce a fruity liqueur called a Shrub. This preserving of the fruit allowed people to enjoy the flavours through the winter whilst other tales tell of smugglers slipping barrels of rum into the sea to evade the Customs men and then using fruit and sugar to mask the saltiness. We have revitalised this tradition by bringing together this rare fruit and the old Cornish tradition to create our Kea Plum Rum.
